Heres a special guitar that went out several weeks back to my guy Tyrone Lancaster in Las Vegas. This is definitely one of my fav’s- it has a great spruce top with lots of active grain patterns and figure. Full flame maple binding throughout. But the special thing about this one is the quilted mahogany back and sides i used. I got a couple guitars worth of this rare rare stuff from a veneer guy and each one Ive made from it has turned out killer! The wood is striking, i’m not sure if i’ll ever have stuff like this again. I feel pretty lucky to have been able to work with it. Tyrone’s name is inlaid on the fingerboard in Chinese script.
