Engraving the serial number on the fingerboard of guitar No. 346. This is for an electric guitar project I am doing (pics soon!) that will have small pearl block inlays under the bass strings. The serial number of each of my guitars is typed into the CAD program and then projected onto the 12″ curvature of the fingerboard (which was very accurately shaped in a previous operation). A very fine point engraving bit then follows the contoured lines and engraves the fingerboard between the last two frets!
