I love how the spruce top reacts to the staining process. Looks like lightning strikes through the wood or something! There will be an extra model 14 semi coming together at the same time for Patrick my intern to do some work on. Heres some preliminary planning shots and bench work…  Lots and lots of progress on my early winter guitars. Assembly all done and finishes are being buffed out. Soon the hardware and setup. YESSSS!  Its a wrap!! Ed’s guitar is complete and it turned out great! Standing at the summit… ahhhhh!!! Those one piece backs are so cool.  Wow heres some great pics of an early VB archtop that Fred Rizzo sent me. He said he just bought it used and its in mint condition. SO COOL to see one of my earlier guitars again!!!  I’ve started two more of my winter projects- two similar 14″ guitars. VERY excited about these two. One will be […]  Major progress on Ed’s guitar the last couple weeks! Construction phase is all done, these pics show the 2nd half of the build process. Looking awesome! The guitar is all together and ready for paint. This will get a rich dark wineburst finish- gonna be a beauty.  Well its been completely nuts here at the shop working to complete my fall projects, which are just about all wrapped up. I should have all those instruments finished and delivered within the week. Not to let anyone think i’ve been sitting idle otherwise (haha!), heres the first of my winter projects that i’m doing.
