It started out as a laminate top guitar that Todd purchased a while […]  I did a run of these cool solid bodies back in 2006- I call them my DDC (deep double cut) model. Ive been toying with the idea of making some more. They were FUN! Anybody interested?  Peter’s guitar is finished, and its a good one. I used this for a rehearsal and a gig last week and it was very cool. Super lightweight and very resonant. Peter asked for a 25-1/2 scale and the extra string tension really drives the guitar to resonate. First pic is the sketch Peter drew for […]  Working on the headstock inlay and binding. The binding is a combination of materials, either bent or cut to shape…  This axe will have some awesome soundports (see schematic), and they are bound in quilted mahogany. I toyed with some ideas and thought it would be easier to bind them prior to rough carving. Worked great! The aged european spruce top looks awesome.
